Our goal is to include many types of dance entertainment in every performance. Right now we are one of only two adult dance companies in the Oklahoma City area that are multi-genre performance groups. Our shows include dance styles such as tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern, swing, cabaret, high kick, can-can, folk dance, renaissance, peasant dances, latin dance, ballroom, liturgical, hip hop, musical theatre, character, belly dancing, singing, comedy, tumbling/acrobatics, roller skating, and instrument playing. Several of our dancers also are involved with foxMoon Productions, where we entertain at local events as mermaids, living statues, fairies, and various other costumed characters.
You may see our company performing at festivals and fairs throughout the Oklahoma City metro area. We attend local parades and put on at least one full length show during the year. We love to use props, face paint, different types of costumes and other experimental ideas to make our shows unique. Our dancers are all different ages and have different backgrounds of expertise, which helps us to have such a wide variety of entertainment in our shows.
|  We are happy to announce that Lyra's Muse has just grown and added on a sub-performance group that is all roller skating. As of now this is the only performance roller skating group in OKC, possibly in all of Oklahoma! It includes aspects of artistic skating, particularly show skating and precision. It also is a home for jam skaters, rhythm, and break skaters. Like the dance company, the skate group includes any type of roller skate dancing.
The most unique thing is that it will include tap dancing on roller skates. There have only been a hand-full of people in history that have combined roller skating and true tap dance technique. Gene Kelly was the most known tap skate performer. We are so excited to bring this to the public. We will be performing indoors and outdoors, in skating rinks, roller derby half-time shows, and anywhere else we can. Thanks for visiting our site!
